The First Service

The Organ Dedication Service
The organ was dedicated on March 10, 2006. The dedication service was played by Organist Monty Bennett from Charlotte, N.C. In attendance were members of the congregation, local organists and choir directors, and members of the Savannah Chapter American Guild of Organists.
Afterwards a cake and coffee reception was held in Carlton Hall.
The Piano Dedication Service.
The church received a beautiful new semi-concert grand piano. This piano was given to us by an anonymous donor because we purchased a new Johannus organ. This anonymous donor believed a church who purchased a new Johannus organ had a commitment to quality church music and the donation was the donor’s support of those music ministries. A dedication service for the piano was held on August 6, 2006.
The dedication was played by Pamela Radford and other pianists of all ages who are members of the congregation. Those who shared their talents for this happy occasion were: (They are listed in the order they are seen on this slide show of the dedication) The Piano Dedication
